RECOMMENDED PREPARATION : 

Dry extract titrated in min. 6% synephrine (French Pharmacopea X)

SCIENTIFIC NAME: 

Citrus aurantium

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION: 

Produced in capsules.

DOSES: 

The correct dose of the dry extract titrated as above is 8-10 mg per kg of body weight a day. This should be taken in two parts, at 8 in the morning and 1 pm. It should not be taken for more than 60 consecutive days.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: 

It is a plant rich in synephrine, which is 5-6% of the dry weight, and flavonoids of various kinds.

HEALTH PROPERTIES: 

Stimulates memory, attention and concentration; aids fat combustion, anti-oxidant action.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: 

It acts on the nervous system producing improvements in attention, memory and resistance to mental fatigue. Titrated dry extract of bitter orange is particularly suitable for use by young people which want to improve their mental performance. It is also used in slimming treatments because the synephrine content stimulates the consumption of fats and eliminates water. As it contains a lot of flavonoids, it is particularly effective in preventing the damage caused to the body by free radicals.

 

SIDE EFFECTS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS: 

It may cause excitation, tremors, insomnia, irritability, tachycardia, usually when excessive doses are taken for a prolonged period of time. It is not recommended for patients who suffer from insomnia, from severy anxiety syndromes or tachycardia. It should be used with caution by people with high blood pressure. Do not use during pregnancy, while breast-feeding or for children under the age of 12.
